Overview

Trillion Dollar Kids Club is a financial literacy programme for kids that was established in a bid to address the socio-economic challenges and also address issues of morality when it comes to engaging with money. The country is currently plagued with high youth unemployment rates, crime, teenage pregnancy, and HIV/Aids and these statistics are particularly higher amongst the black community.

We struggle to understand the concept of money, saving or even investing to create generational wealth because too often than not we don’t have family structures to model from that have executed and mastered the cycle of creating wealth from generation to generation. This largely stems from the fact that financial illiteracy is higher amongst poorer communities. Concepts such as ‘ama-blesser’ or ‘sugardaddy’ or ‘slay-queen’ were born from a township culture of young people exposing themselves to a lifestyle of social media, the glitz and glam - the Sandton lifestyle - which is essentially a life one cannot afford but is provided for in exchange for sexual favors.

This is what has contributed to the high statistics of teenage pregnancy and the likes, because children are not taught from a young age on how to understand the value of money and understand that there are things that we should and shouldn’t be willing to do for money.

There is a strong disconnect when it comes to financial education, morals and ethics, and spiritual guidance when in fact the concepts are not to far off from each other. When you are spiritually guided, you become empowered to make better decisions in a holistic approach to life.

Our Program

TDK

Our program is tailor-designed to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset, promote moral discipline, and equip them with financial skill-sets. We believe that by empowering children from a young age by imparting skills from as young as 4, they will be able to make empowered and informed decisions about their future. We offer after school-classes and workshop programs over the course of 6 months which runs on Saturdays.

Through interactive activities, storytelling, and custom content as well as the “Savings &Entrepreneurship ”- A book on savings by Imboni Dr Uzwi-Lezwe, we teach our kids how to make money, manage their money, grow, and protect their money from the day they start earning it.

These all-form part of the fundamentals of saving and investing that they will need to create a financially secure future, while creating generational wealth.

The niche of our program is that our courses are also tailor designed to address and teach children ongood principles surrounding their interaction with money, through the spiritual revelations of Imboni Dr Uzwi-Lezwe a certified Spiritual Guider and Light Bearer, and renowned author and best-seller of children's books. His teachings touch on guiding one to reach their spiritual maturity in an effort to ascend over issues that limit one to make poor life decisions.

Once students graduate from the program after the first six-months, they receive a certificate of completion from the African Center of Excellence (MSRI). Students who have successfully completed the first phase of the program and graduated will then move on to the second phase of the program.
